Owens Dedication

Today Owen was dedicated at church. It was a very special day for all. Brendon's parents were there as well as all our friends in the church. We are very blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family. Owen was very well behaved and even managed to wave at the congregation from the podium.

The first trip out of Breda

Today Brendon, Owen, Douglas, Lynese and I took a trip to Rotterdam. Douglas and Lynese went shopping in the city centre while Brendon and I went to visit Mariana and Christian's new addition to the family, Sophie. Owen and Sophie were born 6 weeks apart although it was calculated that it should have been 2 weeks! I was 3 weeks early and Mariana 9 days weeks late! Mariana and I both agreed we could not believe we took the step to mommyhood. After a "gezellige" time with them we picked the olds up and had lunch in the centre. Owen also had his lunch out, a first, after strategically table hopping to find the perfect corner for mom to hide out in.

Owen has found his tongue.......

Today Owen had his passport photo taken. The specifications are that he must not smile, both ears showing and his eyes open. How do you do this when he is starting to smile! After umpteen photos the almost perfect picture was taken. Owens new thing these last couple of days is to lick anything that his mouth comes into contact with. He has miles of smiles, after his first morning feed, but these become progressively less as the day passes.
